Our shop is tucked away in Karaparamba at the Nihma building. We’ve been operating out of Calicut for years, mainly handling the kind of engineering jobs that keep the local stuff running. It’s usually pretty loud in here with the machines going and someone usually has grease on their hands. We don't have a big front office or anything like that. People just walk in through the main door and tell us what they need fixed or made. Most of our days are spent looking at drawings or messing with metal parts that aren't fitting quite right. It can get hot in the afternoons, especially when we have a lot of work piled up. The address is 34/1517 on the way to the post office, so it's easy for people in the neighborhood to drop by. We aren't really the type to spend time on the computer much unless we have to. Most of the guys here prefer working with their tools. It’s a practical place. We deal with all sorts of small and medium engineering tasks that come our way. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized when we are really busy, but we always find what we need eventually. It’s just how a real workshop feels. We like being part of the Karaparamba community and having regulars who stop by just to say hello or ask a quick question about a project they are working on.
