Down here in Calicut, we run our construction and engineering work out of Vellerikkal House. We are located in Aylotu Padam, which is part of the Kinassery area. If you are trying to mail something, the post office is Pokkunnu and the pin is 673013. Kerala is a beautiful place to work, though the heavy rain can really slow things down on the construction sites. We spend a lot of our time out in the field, but this house is where all the planning and paperwork happen. It is not a polished office with a receptionist. Usually, someone is just sitting at the kitchen table or a small wooden desk going over blueprints and trying to figure out materials. We do a bit of everything when it comes to building things. It is hard work and the sun can be brutal, but we like seeing things actually get built from the ground up. Most of us have lived in this part of Calicut for a long time, so we know the local suppliers and how to get things moved around the narrow roads. We aren't a massive company with hundreds of trucks. We are a smaller crew that focuses on getting the job done right in our own neighborhood. There is always a lot of dust and noise when a project is going, but that is just construction for you.
