Kinanoor Granites Private Limited

Our yard is situated at Thattakath in Maruthonkara. It’s part of the Kozhikode area, 673513. We share the landscape with a lot of trees and hills, which is nice when there’s a breeze. Working with Kinanoor Granites means we are surrounded by stone all day. Some of it is rough and some is polished smooth. We spend a lot of time moving these slabs around to make room for new shipments. The trucks have a bit of a hard time with the narrow parts of the road, so we usually have someone out there helping them back in. It’s a bit of a daily drama. Inside the office, the walls are covered in calendars and notes. We try to keep track of everything, but sometimes a delivery date shifts and we have to adjust. It’s just how it goes in this trade. We wear thick boots because the ground is full of small stone chips. My hands are always a bit rough from the work. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing team. We just talk to people who come by the yard. If the rain starts, we move under the tin roof and wait for it to pass. It’s a simple life. We focus on the granite and making sure the local builders get what they ordered without too much fuss.
