Crown Flour Mills

Crown Flour Mills sits right near the Athirampuzha Church in the Sreekandamangalam Post area of Athirampuzha. It’s a landmark that most people in the village use to find us. The church is just a short walk away, so we hear the bells every day. Our mill is an old-fashioned kind of place. We haven't changed much over the years because the old ways of grinding flour still work the best for us. The building itself is a bit weathered from the rain, but inside the machines are kept in good shape. It’s a dusty job, and by the end of the day, our clothes and hair are usually white from the flour. We don't have a big staff or any corporate titles. Everyone who works here knows how to do a bit of everything, whether it’s running the grinder or stitching up the bags. We have a lot of regular customers who have been coming to us since they were young. They bring their grain, we chat for a bit about the weather or local news, and then they go on their way. It’s a simple, honest business. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just provide a place for people to get their flour ground, and we do it day in and day out without much fuss. It is just the way things are here.
