Classik Architects

Classik Architects is situated in the Blue Mount Building on Tagore Road in Kottayam. We are tucked away just behind the Head Post Office, which makes it a fairly quiet spot despite being in a busy part of town. We’ve been working out of this office for a good number of years now. Our daily routine involves a lot of drawing, revising plans, and talking to clients about what they want their new home or shop to look like. Kottayam is a place where people value their homes, so we stay pretty busy with residential projects. The office itself is quite plain, filled with drawing boards and rolls of tracing paper. We don't really go for any of that modern corporate style. We just want a space where we can focus on the work at hand. Sometimes a design comes together quickly, and other times we struggle with it for a week. That’s just the nature of architecture. We aren't a big team, so everyone does a bit of everything here. We get our fair share of walk-ins from Tagore Road who are just looking for some basic advice on a small build. We try to be helpful and give them a realistic idea of what’s possible. It’s a steady job, and we enjoy seeing our designs actually turn into real buildings around the city. We’ve been here long enough to know most of the local contractors too.
