Asiatic Rubber Industries

Out here in Madukkaknnu P. O., things are a bit quieter than in the city. Asiatic Rubber Industries has been operating from this spot for quite some time now. Rubber is what we know. Most of us grew up around plantations, so it felt natural to get into this line of work. We handle the processing and making of rubber goods. It smells like raw rubber and heat most of the time, which you get used to after a week or so. Our building isn't new, but it holds up against the sun and rain. We have a few machines that have been running for years and they still do the job better than some of the newer ones we've seen. The local guys from around the village make up most of our team. We don't really do big advertisements or anything like that. Most people who need rubber parts or materials just know where to find us. We take the raw material and turn it into something useful for people. It’s hard work, especially when the humidity is high, but we keep at it. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. That’s just life in a rural post office area. We aren't trying to change the world, we're just making sure the orders are filled correctly and the quality is decent enough that people come back when they need more items made.
