Arjun Thomas Photography

Arjun Thomas Photography is based in Amalagiripo Po, right near the Kottayam Medical College. Being so close to the medical college means there are always people around, which is nice. We have a small studio here where we do most of our work. It’s mostly filled with lights, tripods, and backdrops that have seen better days. We do a bit of everything, from family portraits to small local events. Most people just know us as the local photographer near the college. It’s a pretty relaxed way to work. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who handle the cameras and the editing. The editing takes up a lot of our time, sitting in front of the screen in the back room. Kottayam is a beautiful place, so we often go out for shoots in the greenery around here. Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate and we have to reschedule everything, which is a bit of a mess. Our studio is simple and we don't go for any of that high-end luxury feel. We just want people to feel comfortable when they come in for a photo. We’ve been here for a while and have photos of half the families in the area by now. It’s a good way to make a living and stay connected to what’s happening in Amalagiripo. We just keep clicking and hope for the best shot.
