Vardhman Trader

Vardhman Trader is tucked away in Indira Vihar, at the S/169 address. This part of town has a lot of students and families, so we see a lot of different faces every day. The shop is mostly filled with various goods that people need for their homes or small projects. We do not specialize in just one tiny thing; we try to keep a bit of everything that is in demand. The shelves are high and sometimes I have to use a rickety stool to reach the stuff at the top. I have been thinking about getting a new ladder, but this one still holds up. We spend a lot of time talking to the delivery guys who bring in the new stock. The floor is made of old stone and it stays cool even when it is baking outside. We do not really do any big advertising or anything like that. Most people find us because they live nearby or their neighbor told them we had what they were looking for. It is a quiet kind of business compared to the main market. We keep a ledger on the counter to note down what is running low. Sometimes the electricity goes out for an hour or two, so we just sit by the door and wait it out. It is a simple life running a trade shop in this neighborhood, and we like the routine of it. We just keep the doors open and see who comes in.
