Troika Lounge

Up on the second floor of Kaka Complex in Gumanpura, things feel a lot different than they do down on the street. Kota is a busy city, especially with all the students and the coaching centers nearby, so Gumanpura always has people moving around. Here at Troika Lounge, we see a lot of folks who just want to sit down for a bit and forget about their classes or their work. The stairs up to the lounge can be a bit steep if you aren't used to them, but once you get inside, it’s a decent place to hang out. We have some lights and music, but it’s nothing like the big clubs you might find in a place like Delhi. It’s a local spot. Some days are busier than others, especially on the weekends when people have a little more time to spend. We try to keep the place tidy, though with so many people coming in and out, it's a constant task. The staff here mostly grew up in Rajasthan, so we know how it goes. We serve some snacks and drinks, and people stay as long as they want. It’s not about being fancy or anything like that; it’s just a place in the middle of the city where you can meet your friends and talk without having to stand out on the sidewalk. It gets a bit noisy when it’s full, but that’s just how it is. We're just glad to be here.
