Om Beverages

Our location on Jhalawar Road, right by the New Grain Mandi and the Aerodrum Circle, is about as busy as it gets. There are trucks and tractors coming in and out of the mandi all day long, making a lot of noise and kicking up dust. We sit right in the middle of all that chaos at Om Beverages. Our shop is mostly filled with crates and bottles stacked up against the walls. We don't have a place for people to sit and relax because it’s more of a quick stop for drivers and workers who are in a hurry. The sun beats down on the front of the shop in the afternoon, so we have to keep the drinks tucked away in the coolers to keep them at a decent temperature. It is a loud place to work, with horns honking and people shouting across the circle, but we’ve gotten used to it. We don't have any fancy displays or expensive lighting. It’s just us moving heavy crates around and making sure we have enough stock for the morning rush. Sometimes the deliveries are late and we have to tell people we’re out of what they want. We don't have a corporate office or a big team of managers. It’s just a couple of guys making sure the bottles are cold and the change is right. That is our life here at the edge of the mandi.
