New Anand Traders

If you go down to the Subzi Mandi in Kota, you will find New Anand Traders near the Kishan Goli Wale in Shivaji Market. The market is always a chaotic place, full of the smell of vegetables and the sound of trucks unloading. Our shop handles a lot of things in bulk. We have big stacks of bags filled with pulses and grains. It is a very busy environment, and there is always someone shouting for a price or asking where something is. We have to keep our wits about us to make sure we don't mix up the orders. The heat in Rajasthan is no joke, especially in the middle of the market where there isn't much shade. We have a small fan that works hard all day, but it mostly just moves the warm air around. The floors are concrete and always seem to have a layer of fine dust on them. We work long hours, starting before the sun is fully up and not closing until the market finally quiets down late in the evening. It is hard work, and your back usually aches by the time you get home. We don't have time for anything fancy or polished. We just focus on getting the goods moved and keeping the customers from waiting too long in the sun. It is a rough and tumble business, but it is what we know.
