Mateshwari Enterprises

Mateshwari Enterprises is based in the Shopping Centre, specifically at number 383. It’s a standard shop space with a heavy rolling shutter and a tiled floor that’s seen better days. We handle a variety of items and trade stuff depending on what people are looking for. The Shopping Centre is always full of people, so there’s a constant hum of voices and scooters outside the door. Inside, we have shelves that go all the way to the ceiling, and it’s usually a bit of a struggle to find exactly what you need without a bit of digging. I spend most of my time at the front counter, talking to suppliers or writing out bills by hand. It’s a straightforward business without any bells or whistles. Sometimes the light inside is a bit dim because one of the tubes burned out and I haven’t had the chance to get the ladder out yet. We don’t use fancy uniforms; I just wear whatever is comfortable for a long day of standing and moving boxes. Being at 383 means we are right in the middle of the block, so we get a lot of foot traffic. It’s a bit dusty, and the paperwork piles up on the desk faster than I can clear it, but that’s just how running a small place goes. We’ve been here for a while and plan to stay as long as the work keeps coming in. We just take it day by day.
