Mahi Fancy&General Store

Mahi Fancy&General Store is located at 505, Mahaveer Nagar 2, right on the Sabji Mandi Road in Kota. Since we are on the road that leads to the vegetable market, it’s always crowded and loud outside our door. We sell a mix of things, which is why the name says "fancy" and "general." We have the usual groceries but also things like bangles, hair ribbons, and some simple cosmetics that the local ladies and students look for. Kota has a lot of students living in hostels nearby, so they come in for snacks, pens, and buckets. The shop is quite narrow, and we’ve used every inch of wall space to hang things up. It might look a bit disorganized to someone else, but it makes sense to us. We open up when the vegetable sellers start their day and stay open until the last of the evening crowd goes home. It gets quite dusty with all the traffic on Sabji Mandi Road, so we are constantly cleaning the counters. We don't have a big corporate setup. It's just a local shop where we try to keep prices fair for the students and families who shop with us. We don't use any fancy language to describe what we do. We just sell things that people use every day and try to be helpful when someone is looking for a specific item.
