Jindal & Company is right in the middle of the Gumanpura Bhamashah Mandi. If you’ve ever been to a mandi, you know it’s a chaotic place full of noise, dust, and people shouting. Our spot is at C/128, and it’s basically where all the action happens for us. We deal with agricultural trading, so our days are tied to the harvest seasons. When the crops come in, the whole place is buried in sacks of grain and pulses. We spend hours talking to farmers and other traders, often over a cup of hot tea sitting on wooden benches. The floors are concrete and always have a bit of dust on them no matter how much we sweep. We use old-fashioned ledgers sometimes alongside the computer because it just feels more reliable. My father ran this business before me, and he taught me how to judge the quality of a crop just by feeling it in my hand. It’s a busy life, especially during the peak months when we don't even have time to sit down for lunch. The mandi is like its own little world with its own rules and rhythm. We aren't trying to be fancy or corporate, we just want to be known as people who do what they say they will. It’s a tough business sometimes with the prices changing every day, but it’s what we know how to do.
