Jain Juice Center

Jain Juice Center is located on Subash Marg here in Kota. If you know Rajasthan, you know it gets incredibly hot during the summer months. That’s when we are busiest. We spend most of our day cutting fruit and running the machines. It gets loud and sticky behind the counter, but that is just part of the job. Subash Marg is a central spot, so there are always students and people working nearby who stop in. We keep a lot of crates of fruit stacked up, and sometimes it feels like the whole place smells like oranges or mangoes depending on the season. We don't have a lot of seating, just a few stools and some space to stand. Most people are in a hurry anyway. We have to keep ice coming in regularly because the heat melts it so fast. It’s a simple setup. We don't use any fancy marketing. The machines are old but they still work fine as long as we keep them clean. We have been on this street for a while and have seen many shops come and go. Dealing with the local fruit markets every morning is the hardest part, trying to get the best stuff before everyone else. It’s a lot of early mornings and late nights, especially when the weather is clear. We just focus on getting the glasses filled and making sure the floor isn't too slippery from the spills.
