Our little office is at 594 A in Talwandi. It’s a fairly quiet street, which is nice when you’re trying to focus on computer work. The building is just a standard residential-looking structure that’s been converted for office use. We have one main room where most of us sit. Each desk is covered in monitors and keyboards. There are cables everywhere, tangled up under the tables. We try to keep it organized, but it’s a losing battle most weeks. The air conditioner is a bit old and makes a humming sound, but it keeps the heat away during the peak summer months. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting room. If someone knocks, one of us just gets up to see who it is. We spend most of our hours staring at screens and drinking too much coffee. There’s a small balcony where we go to get some fresh air and look at the street below. Sometimes we see the local stray dogs sleeping in the shade. It’s a low-key environment. We don't wear suits or anything like that. Usually, it's just jeans and t-shirts. We’ve got a small fridge for our water and snacks. It’s a simple setup that works for the kind of stuff we do. We usually stay until late evening because that’s when we get the most done without interruptions from the phones or the delivery guys.
