Government Hospital

Being situated right on Surtgarh Road means we see a lot of action. It’s a major route, so there’s a constant hum of trucks and buses passing by outside our windows. The hospital is a simple structure that’s been here for quite a while. It’s easy to find, which is good because people often come here in a hurry. Inside, the tiles are a bit worn down from years of people walking back and forth. We have a small team, and we all know our roles well. The morning shift is always the hardest because that’s when the biggest crowds arrive. We have to be quick with the registrations, even when the computer system is acting a bit slow. There’s no fancy lobby here, just rows of metal chairs and some old posters on the walls about health habits. It gets dusty because of the road, so we’re constantly cleaning the windows and floors. Sometimes we wish we had more space, but we make the most of the rooms we have. The staff eats lunch together when there’s a break, usually just talking about the weather or local news. It’s a straightforward place. We don’t pretend to be anything other than a public hospital. People come here for help, and we do what we can with the supplies that are sent to us. It’s a noisy, busy, and very real part of life on Surtgarh Road for us.
