Nalanda Vidyaniketan

Nalanda Vidyaniketan is located on Moka Road in the Gandhinagar area of Bellary. We’ve been here for quite some time, and the neighborhood has grown up around us. It’s a decent-sized school, but it still feels like a local operation. We don’t have any corporate management; it’s just us running things day to day. The building is simple and functional, designed to hold several classes at once without too much fuss. We have a small staff of teachers and some helpers who keep the place running. Every morning starts with the same routine of opening up and getting the classrooms ready. Moka Road can get pretty busy with trucks and traffic, so we try to keep the front gate secure. We’ve had to fix the roof a few times after heavy rains, and the walls always seem to need a bit of scrubbing. We don’t put up big billboards or try to sound like we’re the most important place in town. We just provide a space for the kids around Gandhinagar to get their schooling done. There’s a lot of paperwork involved in running a school in Bellary, and we spend plenty of time in the office dealing with that. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do. We like seeing the kids come back year after year as they get older. We just keep the doors open and stick to our schedule.
