Kumar Granites Pvt. Ltd. is part of the Kumar Groups and we are quarry owners based out of Kalleswaranagar. Our main operations are near the Kukunoor Post in Yelburga Taluk. It’s quite different out here compared to the city shops. We are right where the stone comes from, so there’s a lot of heavy machinery and raw landscape around us. The work is physically demanding, especially when the weather gets hot, which happens a lot in this part of the region. We spend our days out at the site, managing the extraction and seeing how the blocks are coming out of the ground. It’s a dusty, loud environment with the sound of drills and heavy engines being the backdrop to everything we do. Kalleswaranagar isn't a place for people who like a quiet office job. We are more comfortable with our boots on the ground, checking the quality of the granite right at the source. Being in Yelburga Taluk means we are a bit far out, but that’s where the best rock is. We manage the whole process from the quarry onwards, and it’s a lot of responsibility to keep everything running safely and on schedule. The days are long and the work is hard, but there is something satisfying about seeing a massive piece of granite being pulled from the earth. It's just a regular part of life for us here, working the land and handling the stone.
