Winter Birds Foods Llp is based right near the Town L P S in Kadakkal. Our place is called Nedumparavila Veedu. It’s a family house that we turned into a workspace. Being near the school means it gets a bit noisy when the kids come out, but we like the energy. We are in the 691536 area of Kollam. It’s a very local operation. We don't have a big marketing budget or a sales team. We just make the food and hope people like it. The rooms in the house are filled with bags and jars. We have to walk carefully so we don't trip over things. It's not a perfect setup, but it’s ours. We spend a lot of time talking to the people who bring us the raw goods. Most of them are friends. We don't use corporate language because that’s not who we are. We are just neighbors doing a job. Sometimes the power cuts out and we have to finish the packing by candlelight or wait for the generator. It’s just how it is in Kadakkal. We aren't looking to become a global giant. We just want to make enough to keep the lights on and help the local guys. It’s a humble business at a house address, and we are fine with that. There's a lot of cleaning to do before we can go home, and we all pitch in to get it done. No one here is too big for a broom.
