It’s a lot of energy and noise from the moment they arrive. The building is simple and has been around for quite some time. We are tucked into the Umayanallur area, which has its own pace. The school isn't very big. We have a few rooms for the different classes. The walls have some drawings on them, mostly done by the children. We spend our days teaching the basics like reading and counting. It’s a lot of patience. The teachers here are mostly from the local neighborhood. We know the parents and often see them at the local shops. Kollam is a nice place, and our little corner here is usually quite friendly.
