You can find us tucked away in S. N. Nagar, right off the Bypass Road here in Trivandrum. This part of Thiruvananthapuram is usually buzzing, but our little corner stays relatively quiet for the children. We’ve been operating this house of children for a while, focusing on the basics of early childhood. The rooms are filled with wooden toys and low shelves, just the right height for small hands. We don’t have fancy screens or high-tech gadgets; we prefer to let the kids work with their hands. There is a small garden area where they can see plants growing, and sometimes we let them help with the watering. It’s a simple setup. The staff here are patient people who understand that every child moves at their own pace. Some kids take longer to get used to being away from home, and we just sit with them until they feel okay. Lunchtime is always a bit of a scramble with lunchboxes and spilled water, but we manage it. We follow the rhythm of the day, from morning circle time to the afternoon naps. It’s not a big corporate school, just a place that feels a bit like a second home for the little ones. The gate is usually shut to keep everyone safe inside while they play. We just do our best to make sure every child gets the attention they need.
