Soorya Driving School

Running Soorya Driving School in Adoor is an interesting way to spend the day. We are based right here in the Pathanamthitta area, and the roads around Adoor Ho can get pretty busy. Our office is a simple place where we keep the logs and wait for the next person to show up for their lesson. Most of our time is spent out in the car anyway. You see all kinds of people coming through here wanting to get behind the wheel. Some are nervous and some think they know everything already. We just sit in the passenger seat and keep a foot near the extra brake pedal just in case. The heat in this part of Kerala can be something else during the afternoons, so the windows are usually down unless the AC is actually working that day. We know the potholes and the narrow turns around this neighborhood like the back of our hands. It's not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. Between the paperwork at the desk and the hours on the road, the days go by fast. People in the town know the car by now. We try to keep things relaxed because being tense doesn't help anyone learn to drive properly. Just another day in Adoor, shifting gears and watching the mirrors and making sure everyone stays safe on the road.
