Surya Driving School

We have been here in Alathur for a while now, right in the Adoor area of Palakkad. Most days start early because that’s when the roads are quietest for the new learners. We have a couple of cars parked out front of our place near the Adoor Ho. It’s not a big fancy office or anything, just a spot where people come to figure out how to drive without stalling in the middle of a junction. Teaching someone to use the clutch properly takes a lot of patience, both for us and the student. You see people getting nervous the first time they sit in the driver's seat, but after a few days around Alathur, they start to get the hang of it. We spend a lot of time going over the basic rules and making sure the paperwork for the license is all in order. It’s a lot of back and forth to the ground for the H-test and the road test. Sometimes the weather is quite hot, which makes sitting in the car all day a bit tiring, but that’s just how it goes. People from around here know where we are, usually by word of mouth or just seeing the cars with the ‘L’ stickers driving past. We don't do much besides focus on the lessons and getting things ready for the transport office visits. It’s just a regular local business doing its thing every day.
