Sivasakthi Dance School

Sivasakthi Dance School is situated on Paravur Road in Parippally. If you are ever in the Kollam area, you might have passed by our building. We teach various dance forms to whoever wants to learn them. The space we have is simple, mostly just some open floors and a few mirrors on the walls. You can hear the music from the street sometimes when the classes are in full swing. It is a local place. Most of our students are kids from nearby families, though some adults come in too. We spend a lot of time practicing the same steps over and over again. It gets sweaty and tiring but that is just part of the whole process. We do not have anything too fancy here. Just a place to dance and learn. The evenings are usually our busiest time because that is when the regular school gets out. You will see parents waiting outside on their scooters for their kids. Paravur Road can be a bit narrow at times, so parking is always a topic of conversation. We have been teaching here for a good bit now. It is nice to see the students improve, even if it takes a long time. We just keep at it day by day. The flooring needs a polish every now and then from all the feet. It is a real working school, not some kind of showroom. Just honest work and traditional learning happening in this corner of Parippally.
