Angel Music School

If you’re down in Kundara, near the Mukkada junction, you’ll probably hear us before you see us. Angel Music School is just a modest place where we spend our time with instruments and songs. We’ve got a few rooms set up for different things, like piano or guitar, and it can get a bit noisy when everyone is practicing at the same time. The floors are a bit worn from all the students coming in and out, and there’s always a stack of sheet paper sitting on the corner of someone’s desk. We aren't some big academy with a huge stage; it’s more like a home for music in Kollam. People of all ages come in here. Some are kids whose parents want them to learn a hobby, and others are older folks who just want to play a few tunes. The teachers here don’t wear suits or anything; we just sit down with the students and show them where to put their fingers. Sometimes a string breaks or a key gets stuck, and we just fix it and keep going. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, though we do expect people to put in the work if they want to get better. On rainy days, the sound of the rain on the roof mixes with the music, which is actually quite nice. We’re just a small part of the community here in Mukkada, doing our thing.
