Sas Body & Paint

Sas Body & Paint is located on Gurumandiram Road in Umayanalloor. It’s a busy enough street, and you can usually hear the sound of cars passing by all day. Our shop is where we do all the repair work and painting for vehicles that have seen better days. The floor is concrete and usually has some grease or paint spills on it. We have a lot of tools lying around, like sanders and spray guns, and there’s always a car or two in some state of being taken apart. It gets quite loud when the compressors are running, so we end up having to shout to hear each other. The walls are covered in various color swatches and old calendars. I usually wear overalls that are covered in patches of different car colors from various jobs. Working on the body of a car takes a lot of patience, especially when you’re trying to get a dent out perfectly. The humidity in Umayanalloor can make the paint dry slower sometimes, which is a bit frustrating. We have a small bench near the front where customers sit and wait while we give them an estimate. It’s a lot of hard, dirty work, but it’s what we do. By the time I head home, my clothes usually smell like car primer and thinners. It’s just a normal workshop on a normal road where we fix what's broken and try to make things look decent again.
