Dm Paints

Dm Paints is right on College Road in Anchal, so we get a lot of people passing by all the time. It is a loud street with all the buses and students walking to their classes. The shop itself is just a basic setup with shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling. We have to use a very old ladder to get the cans from the top, and it squeaks every single time. Most days are spent opening crates and checking that the tinting machine is working right. It’s a bit of a messy business, honestly. My clothes usually have a few spots of primer or some random color on them by lunchtime. People in Anchal are mostly looking for practical stuff to fix up their porches or paint their fences before the rains come. We don't do fancy advertising. Most people just know we are here because they saw the sign while stuck in traffic. It’s a small shop, so we know most of the regular painters by their first names. They come in, grab a tea from the stall next door, and wait for their orders to be ready. It’s a steady rhythm of work. We just keep our heads down and make sure the right paint goes out the door. It’s not a complicated life, but it keeps us busy from morning until we close up at night.
