R K Aencies

Our little setup is called R K Aencies and we are based in Chitravilasm, over in Karunagappally. The name on the sign has a bit of a typo but we never got around to changing it, and now everyone knows us that way anyway. We work out of a modest building surrounded by a bit of greenery. It’s a peaceful spot compared to the main town center. We mostly deal with distribution and local supplies. The work isn't very glamorous. It involves a lot of checking invoices and moving crates around in the storage area. We have a small van that goes out every morning to make deliveries around Karunagappally. I usually handle the phone calls and the paperwork while the boys take care of the heavy lifting. It’s a tight-knit group here. We’ve all known each other for years. Sometimes the rain in Kerala makes things difficult, especially when we’re trying to load the truck, but we manage. We aren't some big city firm with shiny floors. Our floor is concrete and the walls could use a fresh coat of paint. But we do our work honestly and try to help out the local shops who rely on us. It’s a simple business for simple people. We just keep our heads down and get the job done day after day. Most of our neighbors stop by for a chat even if they don't need to buy anything, which makes the days go by faster.
