Kallethu Steels

Our shop, Kallethu Steels, is located right near the Telephone Exchange in Puthoor. It's a handy landmark for anyone trying to find us for the first time. We’ve been in this neighborhood for a while, and most of the locals know where we are. We mostly deal with basic steel supplies that people need for building or repairs around their homes and small shops. The place isn't very big, so we have to be careful about how we stack the inventory so we don't run out of room. Some days are quiet and we just sit around drinking tea and waiting for the phone to ring. Other days, everyone seems to come in at once and it gets a bit chaotic. We don't have any formal uniforms or anything like that. We just wear what's comfortable for moving heavy metal around. The floor is concrete and always has a bit of metal dust on it, no matter how much we sweep. We don't really do much marketing. Most of our customers come because they saw our sign while driving past the exchange or heard about us from someone else in Puthoor. We try to be helpful when people ask questions, even if they aren't sure exactly what they need for their project. It’s a decent living, and we enjoy being part of the community. There isn't much more to it than that, just a local steel yard doing its thing.
