Royal Steel Corporation

Royal Steel Corporation is located at Plot No. 42 in the Kollam Industrial Area. We are right near Sree Narayana College, so we see a lot of students walking by in the mornings and afternoons. The industrial area is quite big, but Plot 42 is tucked in a spot where the heavy trucks can get in and out without too much trouble. Working with steel means everything is heavy and often a bit rusty. The sounds of clanging metal and the overhead cranes are just part of the background noise for us. We don’t have fancy carpets or air-conditioned lobbies. It’s more about the concrete floors and the big open spaces where the steel is stacked. Sometimes it gets a bit muddy when it rains, and the water collects in the uneven parts of the yard. We have a small office area where the paperwork is kept, but most of the time we are out where the material is. The heat can be tough in Kollam, especially when you are around all that metal, but we have some big fans to help out. Most of the guys here have been doing this for a long time. It is a straightforward job of moving, cutting, and organizing steel. Being close to the college makes the area feel a bit more lively than your average industrial park.
