Being over here at 331 Jodhpur Park gives us a bit of a different perspective on Kolkata. It is a bit more residential and relaxed compared to the central parts of the city. We have our office set up here and it feels very much like a part of the local community. We aren't a huge firm with hundreds of employees. We are a smaller team and we like it that way because it keeps things manageable. The office has a lot of natural light, which is nice, but it also means it gets pretty warm in the afternoons. We have a lot of old maps of the city pinned up on the walls and the shelves are overflowing with project files from years ago. We don't spend a lot of money on fancy decorations or expensive office furniture. Most of our chairs are a bit squeaky and the desks are scratched up from all the tools and rolls of paper we throw on them. We spend a lot of time talking to local contractors and making sure our supplies arrive on time. Sometimes the delivery trucks get lost trying to find the house number, which is always a bit of a laugh. We don't have a fancy website or a PR department. If you want to know what we do, you just have to come by and talk to us. We’re usually there from morning until late evening, just keeping the projects moving in 700 068.
