Our Kolkata office is in Hossainpur, which is quite close to Ruby Hospital. If you are trying to find us, that hospital is the best landmark to use. The area can get really crowded, especially when the weather is bad and the roads get a bit flooded. We’ve been at this spot for Wipro Technologies for a while now. It’s a simple building and we’re on one of the middle floors. You can see the traffic moving toward the bypass from our windows. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of desks and a lot of tangled cables that we keep meaning to organize. We have a small area where we keep our bags and coats. The lighting is a bit bright and clinical, but it helps keep us awake during those long afternoons. People bring their own lunches, and the smell of fish curry often fills the small break room around one o’clock. We don't have a lot of formal meetings in big boardrooms; we mostly just talk across the desks or pull up a chair next to someone. It’s a very practical way of working. The 700107 area has its own rhythm, and we’ve just become part of it. Sometimes the internet slows down when it pours, but we just use that time to catch up on paperwork or grab another cup of tea. It’s just a normal office life for us here. We make sure to lock up everything carefully before we head out to catch the bus in the evening.
