Our place is located in Bally, Howrah, with the pincode 711201. If you know this part of West Bengal, you know it’s a place with a lot of history and old buildings. We are situated in one of those regular streets where things move a bit slower than in the middle of Kolkata. The office is a simple room where we handle all the Wipro Infotech tasks. It’s not a large operation. We have a few desks, some chairs that have seen better days, and a lot of cables running along the floor. We try to keep it neat, but with all the hardware we deal with, it’s a bit of a challenge. The humidity here can be quite something, so we usually have the windows open to catch a breeze. We don't have a big sign outside, so you have to look closely for the building number. Most of the people working here are from the local area, so we all speak the same language and know the local spots for lunch. We mainly focus on technical support and making sure the systems are running like they should. It’s humble work, but it keeps us busy from morning until evening. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait it out or chat until it comes back. That’s just life in Howrah for us.
