Wesman

Wesman has its main office at Wesman Center on 8 Mayfair Road. This is a pretty well-known spot in the neighborhood. We’ve been here for quite some time now. The building is where all the planning for our industrial furnaces and combustion equipment happens. It’s not a factory itself, but more of a central point for our engineers and sales people to meet up. When you walk in, you’ll see plenty of files and old drawings of projects we’ve worked on over the decades. We aren’t a new startup with bean bags and coffee bars; it’s a traditional office with wooden desks and a lot of filing cabinets. The work we do is quite technical, involving high temperatures and heavy machinery, so the conversations in the hallways are usually about melting points or fuel efficiency. We have a lot of long-term employees who have spent their whole careers here, so there’s a lot of collective memory about how things used to be done versus now. Mayfair Road is a decent area, a bit quieter than the main industrial zones, which is nice for when we need to focus on complex designs. We don’t go around shouting about what we do. We just stay focused on our specific niche in the engineering world. It’s a steady, quiet kind of business. We just show up, do the calculations, talk to our clients, and make sure the designs are solid for the next build.
