Web Developer

Our workspace is located at 23/1 Nayan Chand Dutta Street in North Kolkata. If you know this part of the city, you know it is crowded and the buildings are packed right next to each other. It’s an old neighborhood with a lot of character and noise from the street below. We work from a small room that is basically just full of computers and some old files. Most of our day is spent writing code and trying to figure out why a website isn't doing what it is supposed to do. It’s a lot of quiet concentration punctuated by the sounds of the city outside. We have been at this address for a long time. We aren’t a big company with hundreds of employees or anything like that. It’s just a small group of us who know how to build things for the web. Around mid-afternoon, one of us usually goes down to the local tea stall to get a round of drinks for everyone. That’s our version of a break. The building itself is quite old and the stairs are steep, but it suits us just fine. We don't have any flashy signs or posters on the walls. We just come in, do our work, and head home like everyone else. It’s a simple life here in the heart of Kolkata, and we wouldn't have it any other way right now.
