Volcan Rubbers

Volcan Rubbers is located at Plot No- 20 H / 19 on Harish Neogi Road. We are quite close to the Burning Ghat, which is how most people identify our location. The building is an industrial shed where we do all our rubber processing. It is not a quiet place because the machines are old and they make a lot of noise when they are running at full capacity. The air inside always smells like raw rubber and heat, which you get used to after a while. We have a small crew of workers who have been with us for a long time. They know how to fix the machines when they break down, which happens sometimes. We don't have a formal reception area. If you come to see us, you just walk through the main gate and find us in the back. The floor is usually covered with scraps of material and oil stains. It is hard work and the shed gets very hot during the summer, so we have a lot of exhaust fans running. We produce various rubber parts for other small factories in the city. We don't do much in terms of promotion; the work comes in through word of mouth mostly. Our address is a bit tucked away, but the trucks find us okay. It is a gritty, practical business. We don't pretend to be anything other than a small manufacturing unit doing its best.
