We set up Vizon-X Roofing because we know exactly how the weather treats buildings here in Kolkata. Our office is located at 338 Motilalgupta Road, way up on the sixth floor of block three. Sometimes it is a bit of a trek to get up there if the lift is acting up, but that is just part of the day. We spend most of our time thinking about roofs. Between the heavy monsoon rains that soak everything and the summer sun that makes the concrete hot enough to cook on, roofs around here take a real beating. We have seen all sorts of leaks and cracks over the years. We are not some big fancy corporation with a hundred people in suits. It is just us, working with different roofing materials and trying to make sure things stay dry inside. We get a lot of calls from neighbors in the LP-109/32 area. People just want their sheds or houses to stop dripping. We keep a bunch of samples at the place, though it gets a bit crowded with all the sheets and tiles. The traffic on Motilalgupta Road can be a nightmare in the evenings, so we usually start early. We are not trying to change the world. We just want to fix the roofs that need fixing. It is a practical business. We drink a lot of chai, talk to the contractors, and get the jobs done one by one.
