Vikash Cane

You can find Vikash Cane at 4/C Madan Mohan Burman Street. We are right in the heart of Machua, which is a very crowded and lively part of town to be in. The street is always full of people and carts moving back and forth from dawn until dusk. Our place is a bit cramped because we have so much cane and bamboo material stored everywhere. It smells like raw wood and dust most of the time. We have been in this building for many years now. The stairs are narrow and the ceiling is a bit low in the back room where we keep the older stock. We do not have a website or any of that; we just do our business face-to-face or over the phone. Most of our customers are locals who have been buying from us since my father ran the place. We spend our days sorting through the raw materials and making sure everything is good for the craftsmen who use it. It is a lot of manual labor, and our hands are usually pretty rough by the end of the week. We keep a small kettle in the corner for tea when neighbors stop by to chat. The electricity can be finicky in this old part of the city, but we manage with what we have. It is a simple life and a simple business. We just want to make sure the stock is ready when someone needs it for their work.
