Victoria Tea Company

Victoria Tea Company is located right on the ground floor of the Martin Burn Building. That’s at No. 1 Rn Mukherjee Road, right across from the Lalbazar Head Quarter. It’s a very old and famous part of the city, and the building itself has a lot of history in its walls. Inside, the smell of dry tea leaves is everywhere. We spend our days dealing with different grades of tea, weighing them out and getting them ready for transport. The street outside is always crowded with people and cars, so it’s never really quiet here. We don't have a modern showroom or anything like that. It’s more of a traditional workspace where the focus is on the product itself. Sometimes the floor is covered in dust from the sacks, and we spend a lot of time cleaning up. We have workers who have been with us for years, and they know the smell of good tea better than anyone. It’s a simple business. We get the tea in, we sort it, and we send it out. We don't spend money on fancy decorations for the office because we’d rather just focus on the bags of tea. Most of our visitors are people who have been buying from this area for decades. It’s a busy, dusty, and honest way to spend the day in the heart of the city.
