Vegex Agro is located right in the heart of Kolkata, over on Haramohan Ghosh Lane. It’s 42/J if you are looking for the exact door. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze in these old streets, but we manage to get our work done. We deal mostly with vegetables and other agricultural stuff coming into the city. It’s a noisy place with plenty of traffic, which is very different from the farms where our products actually grow. We spend most of our time coordinating with suppliers and making sure things get delivered before they spoil in the heat. There’s no big fancy warehouse, just our honest little space where we keep everything organized. The team here is small, usually just a few of us handling the phones and the crates. We don't use any big words or complicated systems. We just write things down and make sure the math adds up at the end of the week. Living and working in Kolkata means you have to be fast, but we try to stay calm. We aren't trying to be the biggest name in town. We just want to provide decent produce and keep our customers coming back because they know we are reliable. It’s a simple life, even with all the city bustle around us every single day. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay busy.
