Vaibhav Tea Company

Vaibhav Tea Company is located at 31/1, Ahiripukur Road, right in the Beck Bagan area of Ballygunge. If you know this part of Kolkata, you know the streets are narrow and full of history. Our place is in one of those old buildings that has seen a lot of years. It’s a bit cramped inside because we have so much tea stored, but it feels like home to us. We spend our mornings checking the tea that comes in from the auctions. There is no air of mystery here, just a lot of hard work and the smell of fermented leaves. We work out of Ballygunge because it’s where we’ve always been. The neighbors know us, and we know them. Sometimes we have tea together out on the sidewalk when the sun goes down. The shop has high ceilings and old wooden cabinets that we use to keep everything sorted. We don't use any flashy sales tactics. If someone wants tea, they come in, they smell it, and they buy what they like. It’s a very simple transaction. The traffic on Ahiripukur Road can be a nightmare sometimes, but once you step inside our door, it’s just the quiet business of tea. We handle everything ourselves, from the heavy lifting to the final packaging. It’s just a small, local operation trying to do a decent job every day.
