Urbanfit

Urbanfit is tucked away in Ae 140, Puspanjali Apartment in Kestopur. We are right in the Rabindra Pally area, not far from the Rabindrapally Market. Living in Kestopur means dealing with narrow lanes and a lot of people, so we tried to make the gym a place where you can actually find some space. The apartment building is easy enough to spot once you get near the market. Inside, the layout is a bit unusual because of how the building is shaped, but we’ve managed to fit everything in. We have the treadmills near the windows so you can see the street below while you walk. The weight area is at the back where it’s a bit cooler. We spend a lot of time just talking to the neighbors who drop in to ask about memberships. We don't have a big corporate office or a marketing team. It’s just us answering the phone and keeping the place running. Sometimes the light bulbs flicker and we have to swap them out, or a machine needs a bit of oil, but we handle it ourselves. It’s a neighborhood gym through and through. You’ll see people from the nearby blocks every single day. It’s just a regular spot for regular people to keep themselves moving in the middle of a busy part of Kolkata.
