Tulip Tea Co. Ltd. is located over at Kanoi Court on Chowringhee Terrace. It is one of those old buildings in a part of the city that has seen a lot of history. We have been here for a good while, focusing on the tea trade. Usually, our mornings are spent checking on the latest batches and talking to people about logistics. The office has that specific smell of dried tea leaves that you get used to after a few days. It is a busy area outside, especially with the traffic on Chowringhee, but inside the court, it stays somewhat decent. We aren't a massive corporation with glass walls; it is more of a traditional setup with wooden desks and lots of ledgers. People come in and out, mostly talking about shipments or the weather affecting the crops. We just keep our heads down and do the work. Tea is a tricky business because so much depends on things you can't control, like the rain. We handle the sourcing and the distribution from this small spot. Sometimes the phones don't stop ringing and other times it is quiet enough to actually get some paperwork finished. We have a few staff members who have been with us for years.
