Our place is in the Poddar Point Building on Park Street. It’s a well-known building, though it’s always busy and finding parking is a nightmare. We are at 113, and it’s a typical office space. We deal with tea manufacturing, which means we spend a lot of time talking to the gardens and coordinating with the blenders. Even though we are on Park Street, it doesn't feel very glamorous inside. It’s mostly just desks, phones, and a lot of sample tins scattered about. We taste a lot of tea throughout the day to make sure everything is right. Sometimes we have tea leaves all over the tables when we are comparing batches. The air conditioning is always humming in the background. We have a small team and everyone knows what they need to do. It’s not a corporate environment where everyone wears suits. We just wear what’s comfortable because it’s a long day. We deal with a lot of exports and local stuff too. It’s a lot of back and forth on the phone. We don't really have a big website or do much online. Most of our business is done through old contacts and people we’ve known for years. It’s just steady work in a busy part of the city. We try to stay organized but it gets messy sometimes.
