Tonganagaon Tea Co. Pvt. Ltd.

Our office is on the 5th Floor of Sagar Estate, which is at 2, N. C. Dutta Sarani. It’s right in the middle of a very busy part of the city. Getting up to the fifth floor every morning can be a bit of a trek if the lift is acting up, which happens sometimes. Tonganagaon Tea Co. Pvt. Ltd. has been operating from this building for years. The windows look out over the street and you can hear the traffic and the people shouting below all day long. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, chairs, and stacks of files about the tea gardens. We aren't a fancy corporate group with modern furniture. Everything here is a bit old and has been used for a long time. We spend our hours talking on the phone to the gardens and checking the logistics. It gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of visitors or when the samples start piling up on the floor. The light in the office is a bit dim in the corners, but we don't mind much. N. C. Dutta Sarani is a hectic place to be, but we like being in the center of things. We just do our work, manage the accounts, and keep the tea moving through the system. It’s not a glamorous job sitting in an office all day, but it’s what we do to keep the company running.
