We are over in the Santoshpur area of Kolkata, specifically in Kali Nagar. Our office is actually set up at Mr. Nirendranath Roy’s place. It is a residential neighborhood, so it doesn't feel like a cold business district at all. Being near the Bidhangarh post office makes things a bit easier for our mail and documents. We have been running Tokiem India from here for quite some time now. It is a simple setup. We have our desks, some filing cabinets, and the usual office stuff you would expect. The street outside is usually quiet, except when the local kids are playing or people are heading to the market. We don't have a big sign out front or anything. Most of our work is done on the phone or through the computer, so we don't need a huge storefront. It works for us. We know the neighbors and they know what we do. It feels more like a community than a corporate headquarters. Sometimes it gets a bit humid during the monsoon, and we have to keep the fans going at full speed to stay cool. We just focus on our daily tasks and getting the orders processed. It is a steady way to work without the stress of a downtown office. P.O-Bidhangarh is our home base and it suits the way we like to do things. It is just a regular house where we get our work done every day.
