Our office is Office Number 1 in Block L, right on Humayun Kabir Sarani. We are very close to the New Alipore Multipurpose School, so we hear the school bell ring every day. It’s a nice neighborhood in Kolkata to work in. The office itself is quite functional. We have cameras set up all over the place, but that’s mostly so we can show people how they work. The wires are usually hanging out of the ceiling a bit because we are always testing something new. It is a bit messy, but it is a working office. We get a lot of parents from the school dropping in to ask about home security. We just sit down with them and talk through the options. There is no high-pressure sales talk here. We just show them what the different cameras look like on the screen. The tea stall around the corner is where we spend our breaks. New Alipore is a busy place, but our little corner of Humayun Kabir Sarani is relatively peaceful. We have been here for a few years and have gotten to know the other shop owners on the block. We just try to provide a decent service without making things too complicated for anyone. It is a simple setup for a simple business. Sometimes the rain gets so heavy we have to move the desks away from the window.
