We are located over at 1/1A East Sinthee Lane in the Dumdum area of Kolkata. Being in West Bengal, you know the weather can be a bit much, so the office usually feels a little damp during the monsoon months. The building is older, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it’s where we’ve been for quite some time. The street outside is narrow, so it’s always a bit of a squeeze if a big truck tries to go past our entrance. Most of our day involves dealing with stacks of paper and keeping track of what’s going where. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find fancy furniture or modern art on the walls. We have some old wooden desks and chairs that have been around as long as the business has. The morning starts early here, often before the sun is even fully up, because that’s just how things work in this line of business. There’s a tea shop just around the corner that we visit way too often during our breaks. The phone rings a lot, and someone is usually shouting over the noise of the ceiling fan to be heard. It’s a busy, somewhat chaotic environment, but we know where everything is. We don’t really worry about making the place look perfect for visitors since we are mostly focused on getting the daily tasks finished. It’s just how things are in this part of town.
