The Prompt Computers

Down on Jamunalal Bazaar Street in Kolkata, things are always moving fast. We’re located right at the heart of it, with the 700001 postcode. The Prompt Computers has been a part of this street for quite some time. If you know Kolkata, you know how these bazaar streets can get, with the sounds of carts and people calling out. Our shop is where we handle all the technical stuff, mostly fixing motherboards or trying to recover data from drives that have seen better days. The space isn't huge, but we make the most of it with workbenches lined up against the walls. There are wires and spare parts scattered around because we're always in the middle of a project. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes. We see all kinds of people coming in from the bazaar, some looking for a quick fix and others needing something more complicated. The humidity in Kolkata can be tough on electronics, so we stay pretty busy. We don't have a big front office or a receptionist; you just walk in and talk to whoever is at the bench. It’s a practical way of doing things. We’ve grown used to the constant hum of the city outside our door. Jamunalal Bazaar Street is a unique place to work, and being here keeps us on our toes every single day.
